I am looking for a few good writers and editors to help with the development and evolution of Memes for the Creation of a New Culture. As I have discussed before, this is a living book and your participation is essential.
I have moved my entire website including my blogs Vision Thing, Mind Flashes and my Writings from my old blogging platform Typepad to WordPress in order to facilitate with open sourcing During the past six months, I have been studying the mechanics of WordPress in order to use it as a content management system for writing a book rather than a journal based weblog (blog).
WordPress comes with both pages and posts as part of it basic structure. Posts are dated journal entries and pages are dateless and static sections of content that can be arranged in a hierarchical order, lending themselves to the the way a book is structured. I am using both in the project.
Comments are part of a blogging and I have enjoyed the many comments you have made since I started Vision thing way back in 2003. I have added commenting to the pages so all of you can offer ideas and suggestions in each of the books sections. Additionally, I would like to havee some of the best of you work on the sections in the role of writers and editors. You can add additional words, images, videos and references that I would otherwise miss or leave out for lack of resources.
Many of you have noticed that I make a lot of typos in writing. i was born with typo-blindness, which renders all my mistakes in spelling, grammar and content invisible to me. Writing a book in real time is a bit like walking a type-rope without a safety net. I invite those of you who can help be my safety net and help spare some embarrassment.

Hi Bruce, my name is Timothy Nazareth and we met during the 1984 (I think) Rainbow Gathering in Washington St. You were lecturing about all kinds of serotonin based medicines that were in the late stages of research and are now ubiquitous. Particularly fluoxetine aka prozac. I learned a great deal from you during those hot July days. The knowledge you imparted, most certainly spared me from the inevitable, yet unnecessary calamity that would have arisen by my style of hit or miss, entheogen self experimentation. I was only 24.
I was delighted to come across you site today. It’s great that you’re still doing the good-work. I’m a writer and artist living in Danville CA. Perhaps in the future I can add a bit to your project. I met you while I was attending UCSC in 1995. I was a psychology major. We met through a mutual friend by the name of Clay Elliott. I became interested in your writing because I was researching various psychoactive substances at the time. I might be able to contribute something to this project. Hello there Bruce.
I am new to your work and have only just started to explore your ideas. However, I have been something of a neuronaut my whole life through the use of psychoactives as well as through much exploration of the inner eye and the effects of visualisation techniques and other esoteric traditions.
I also write fiction and free verse (though I doubt you would have heard of anything as I’ve only had a few small pieces published in magazines, and on the BBC website.)
I was in the media spotlight a couple of years back for a brief spell as I became the focus of a moral debate regarding the payment to addicts for their voluntary sterilisation. As it turned out I was the only person in the UK to take up Project Preventions offer before our medical council kicked them out. Yes I am an addict, and still on treatment which is going well; I intend to be off Methadone altogether before this year is out.
As I am sure you can guess from all this information I feel I may have some small but worthwhile contribution to make to this project so if you could let me know how I can get involved whilst I catch up on my reading material that’d be great.
As a culture we need to get a mature grip on our relationship with psychoactives before the tension caused by our current hysterical and ignorant attitudes and laws manages to render us incapable of any valuable growth at all!
