Link for this Post: Rediscover Your Music with The Filter Software Free Download
My friend Sean Kearney over at his patternHunter blog posted about this great piece of free software endorsed by musician Peter Gabriel/ According to Sean’s post Peter Gabriel on The Second Wave of the Digital Revolution:
"The first wave of the digital revolution was about the freedom of choice, trying to make everything accessible to anyone, anyplace, anytime. I think the second wave will in some ways be about freedom from choice. It will be able to filter and focus so that you get more of what you want, what excites, entertains and surprises you. "It’s been something that’s interested me for a long time and I’ve now got involved with a group in Bath who have some cool recommendation engine software. It’s very first stage is something that will allow you to sort out your own iTunes library, and that’s a free download if you want to try it out. It’s at TheFilter.com." – Peter Gabriel

I really like the Filter. I have a substantial library (about 10,000 songs), and by listening to playlists generated by the Filter I have heard some stuff I’d either forgotten about or never even knew I had.
