Wis.dm is the latest online community — an interesting mashup of Yahoo! Answers, MySpace and Digg.
Community members become resident experts to answer the steady onslaught of questions from new members/seekers. The community thus resembles ancient Greece with wise philosophers roaming the marketplace surrounded by their students.
The main m maxim of the Wis.dm community is “Question Everything.” Actually that is not a bad premise since we humans collectively as a species as well as individually really do not know as much as we think we do.
Of couse the only problem with this is that all the answers come from humans. Its too bad the computers can’t give the answers instead of other people. However, they actually know a lot le4ss than we do
So maybe instead of the Maxim of Wis.dm should be Answer Everything (Even If You Have to Fake It). Of course that is how experts get to be experts.

Hmmm, seems along the lines of what I’m envisoning, right now. I see a mash-up of all the social networks in one convenient “space”. people don’t have time to check every social net that they are a part of, individually. Tres useful, I think. On an unrealted not, it would be cool to have a .dmt domain, wouldn’t it?
