TR10: Intelligent Software Assistant Adam Cheyer is leading the design of powerful software that acts as a personal aide" By Erica Naone in the Technology Review Published by MIT
Information overload is something many of us know quite about about. Probably too much.
For many of us, computers with amble multitasking abilities and the ever increasing quantity and bandwidth of information coming in from the web make it hard to get anything done. Wouldn't it be nice if the same medium that serves us up this glossolalia of data and tower of babel of ideas could also be the medium which simplifies it and points out what is relevant?
The concept of the intelligence computer assistant has existed in the popular mind for at least as long as the Sixties, with the introduction of Hal in the movie 2001. Adam Cheyer has taken up the cause of making Intelligent Software Assistants a reality.
