Rock Band: The Beatles Trailer Video
The Beatles are gone forever, but their existence as digitized entities is more lively than ever. Perhaps due to the drabness of modern times, mash-ups and remixes of the Beatles are a thriving industry that continues to grow in new and interesting ways
In Las Vegas where I live, the Cirque de Sol Production Love, developed in conjunction with Sg. Pepper's producer Sir George Martin has continues to play to packed audience since it was launched more than two years ago which (which I posted about here).
Even though was around in the Sixties, I never saw the Beatles play live (I was 16 when they played their last concert in 1964). However, the Cirque de Sol performance was one of the most memorable artistic experiences I have ever had.
Perhaps partially due to the Beatles love of the number "nine" and most definitely because it is the day when everyone usually returns to to their desk for good after the lazy days of summer, September 9th 2009 (9/9/09) was picked as the launch for a virtual explosion of new Beatles digital artifacts and simulations.

As the story about the "Beatles perfect storm" above notes:
On September 9, the Beatles will release their entire catalog, digitally re-mastered for the first time, on CD. The same day, The Beatles: Rock Band will be released, and there is speculation of an Apple music-related event the same day. Could it be an entertainment perfect storm?
With the recession still damping down media sales, it is events like this that promise to bring back the ringing of cash registers (playing Beatles ringones).
