I have made a tradition out of posting on the Winter Solstice and this year is no exception. What I like about the Solstice is that from now on, the days start getting longer rather than shrinking as they have for the last six months.
The idea that the days are getting longer but its still getting colder has always been somewhat enigmatic to me and probably to a lot of other people
As I have pointed out, Chinese philosophy found a lot of meaning in the paradoxical things happening on the solstice. To them it suggested that when things first start to get better, we do not recognized the change in fortune.
I have not posted in a couple of months here, but does not mean I have not been active on the web. So in the next few posts, I am going to give you a tour of some of what I've been up to recently
