Link for this Post: Read the Annotated Bibliography of Timothy Leary at the Open Library In  April 1995,  I moderated a panel at an event called the Whole Life Expo in San Fransisco, California called “The Future of Consciousness.” Among the panel members was Timothy Leary. There was quite a bit of attention on Dr. Leary that afternoon. They say its my birthday . . . gonna have a good time

When I went to college in LA back in 1967, I used to drop acid (LSD) almost every weekend. My friends and I would have either small gatherings and sometimes larger ones, in which most or all of the group tripped together, listening to record albums on a stereo phonograph, engaged in intense conversation or wordless connections. At almost of of these gatherings, one album that was sure to be among those that would be cued up was the Beatles ultras mash hit, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band. Brain Computer Interface Moves into the Mainstream

In the year and a half since I posted Control Your Computer With Your Brainwaves — TED Conference Video which highlighted a presentation at the Ted Conference by Tan Lee,  from the EEG biofeedback device developer Emotive Systems the development of Brain Computer Interface (BCI) has accelerated at an amazing rate. MAPS 25th Anniversary Conference Report

I attended the MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) Cartographie Psychedelica: Celebrating 25 Years of Research & Education. That bit of a tongue twister is short for the MAPS 25th Anniversary Conference. See the MAPS website for detailed information about the organization.
